Hands-On Modeling Workshop in Vancouver, BC
The Institute for Disease Modeling will host hands-on STI/HIV modeling demo and workshop with EMOD 2.0. The workshop is free and open to the public (IAS registration is not required) on Tuesday July 21, 8:30-10:30pm, at SFU Harbour Centre, 515 West Hastings Street in Vancouver, BC, in Computer Lab Room 1350b. Computers are provided, or bring your own laptop and our team will assist you with model installation. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
The software will be available on USB thumb drives at the workshop, and is also available for download at www.idmod.org/software. You can access source code, download the QuickStart installer with the model executable and sample input/output files, and peruse the user tutorials available at www.idmod.org/idmdoc. The tutorials are a great way to learn about the network, biology, transmission, and health care design capabilities that comprise the HIV model.
